My name is Tim Christiansen and I'm 32 years old. I live in Pleasant Grove, Utah with my wife and my 10 year old daughter McKenzie and my 8 year old daughter McKylie. The last couple months have been the hardest of my life. It all started when my wife lost her job on August 21st. She was the main provider for our family for the last four years. Due to my past health issues (two knee surgeries, back surgery, etc.) I was only able to work part-time. Then on September 8th while at work I had the first TIA (minor stroke) and then I had the second TIA on September 11th. After the second TIA I was hospitalized for 3 days. Due to the strokes I was left with a stutter and am unable to work. The medical bills have racked up and they are still trying to figure out what is going on. Then to make matters worse on November 3rd I had a seizure while driving and totaled our vehicle. I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance because I couldn't feel the left side of my body and the seizure. Due to the seizure I am now unable to drive or work for the foreseeable future. The doctors still don't know what is going on so they want to run some more tests. They want me to wear a heart moniter for 30 days and also see a neuroligist. As you can imagine the medical bills are stacking up, plus we can't make it with one vehicle. We are struggling to pay our rent and keep our lights and heating on. With niether my wife or I being able to work we are trying to survive on her unemployment, which doesn't even cover our bills ,let alone a chance to buy another vehicle or pay for more tests. My wife has had to support me both mentally and physically through this rough time and it has really took a toll on my 10 year old daughter. It is hard for me to ask for help, but right now we need it. Every penny donated will be used for medical bills, living expenses, and hopefully buying a used vehicle.
