Help Barry Overcome Medical Debt and Learn to Walk Again

Donation protected
With a recent second knee replacement, I fell during the night and ruptured the surgical site. This resulted in an emergency transport to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville and emergency trauma surgery. After 14 days in the hospital and 21 in subacute care, I was able to return home for several days.

Upon returning to the orthopedic surgeon, X-rays showed the leg was rebroken 10-14 days prior, requiring a third surgery with a joint specialist in Atlanta. In addition, extensive rehabilitation continues as part of my daily life.

I’m facing yet another surgery to replace a titanium rod placed from my thigh through to my calf. I’m hoping to have a knee revision and “normal” leg in the near future. This cannot happen unless I’m able to clear debt incurred within the medical system, which Medicare and my supplement do not cover. Homebound and dependent on my wheelchair and my walker to navigate prevents me from earning needed income.

Your contribution would be greatly appreciated in helping with current and future medical debt.
