Hello friends, family, fraters, and even strangers,
I'm Felicia writing this on my brother's behalf. In May my brother had severe stomach pain causing him to be in and out of the hospital. In June, he was eventually admitted to stay at the Virtua in Mount Holly. For two weeks they were unable to diagnose him and by the third week he was diagnosed with SMA syndrome (Superior mesenteric artery syndrome (SMAS) is a digestive condition that occurs when the duodenum (the first part of the small intestine) is compressed between two arteries (the aorta and the superior mesenteric artery). This compression causes partial or complete blockage of the duodenum.) He was in the hospital for just under a month.
They first tried to fix him with TPN through a PICC line but it did not work. The last week, they preformed an extensive surgery relocating some of his insides in his stomach and giving him a feeding tube through his stomach. I am requesting money to help pay for medical bills, rent, medical mistreatment (lawyer), but mainly his at home feeding through his feeding tube because it is expensive.
Peter is a hard worker and never asks for help or handouts. He has always had two jobs, is a biology major at Widener University, as well as the president of his fraternity (Tau Kappa Epsilon). With the pandemic in place, there has been added stress putting him out of his jobs and not receiving any money.
Please help my brother and my family out, any help is appreciated.
