We are starting this page to help our best friend Jaci Karr and her family as she battles stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
Jaci is a 36 year old wife and mother of two very smart and beautiful children Joshua 10 and Grace 8. She served our country for four years in the US Navy and for the last two years has been battling a very rare form of breast cancer. She has undergone a double mastectomy, numerous chemotherapy and radiation treatments trying to beat cancer. Unfortunately the cancer has spread to her spine leaving her paralized from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair but it hasn't stopped her from fighting. Jaci is currently receiving treatment at Duke university hospital.
Her husband Daniel has been by her side this entire time. He has sacrificed so much to care for his wife and family during this time, including leaving his job to be by his wife's side at Duke. This is a guy that would give his last dollar and the shirt off his back to a complete stranger and never ask for anything in return or any recognition and now they need our help!
Our goal is to raise $5000 to help with travel expenses, bills (which have begin to pile up since Daniel isn't working and he is the sole provider.) And so Jaci can spend as much time with family as possible.
