Our mother is the heart of our family. She is a strong, resilient woman who raised three of her children on her own. No matter how difficult things became, she always found a way to provide, protect, and love us with everything she had.
She is also the mother of two young children—a four-year-old and a one-year-old—who bring her so much light during this dark time.
Recently, our lives changed when she was diagnosed with colon cancer. Since then, she has undergone tumor removal surgery on her colon and is currently in chemotherapy. In the next phase of her treatment, she will require immunotherapy—an essential part of her fight—but unfortunately, her insurance does not fully cover the cost.
Watching our mother go through this has been heartbreaking. She has always been independent, selfless, and strong—the kind of woman who never asked for help.
We know that everyone is struggling right now and that times are hard for so many families. Please don’t feel any obligation at all—prayers, kind words, and sharing this mean just as much. But if you feel moved to help in any way this Christmas, it would mean more than we could ever express.
As her daughter, it’s devastating to watch the woman who raised me with such strength now be the one in need of support. She has given so much of herself to her children, and she deserves the chance to heal without fear or financial strain.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with my mom and helping her continue this fight.
