Hi everyone,

My name is Joseph and I am raising money for my brother who’s in India and in need of a KIDNEY TRANSPLANT.

My brother has been a diabetic since the age of 8. He has lacked the opportunity for education, given our family's circumstances and has been completely reliant on me and my parents for the entirety of his life.

Unfortunately, we lost our father in 2006, meaning my mum and brother, being based in India, have only had each other. This has taken a huge toll on my mum, who’s had to not only be by my brother's side every single day but also support the family.

For the last two years, my brother has been on dialysis three times a week, where they insert a canal (Fitsula) into the veins, the vein being blocked every six months. The fistula has already been placed in both the arms and legs which are now not suitable for further dialysis. This process now needs to move toward the heart.

However, before this vein is blocked, my brother needs to undergo surgery. The surgery costs INR 50-60 lacs. The funds I am raising will cover surgery, in-hospital and post-hospital care.
