Hello friends and family. This is Crystal I have been friends with Rob for almost 40 years.and I'm setting up this GoFundMe for my dear friend Robert (Rob) McConnell.

Rob had some heartbreaking news on October 13, and within just a few days, he was in Albany Medical undergoing a four-way bypass on his heart. Rob has always been a very healthy person, and he didn't even know he was sick. Thank you to his boss for making him go to the doctors.

Rob has been in the hospital for four weeks now, and we're not sure when he will be getting out. He goes under different procedures daily to try to get his heart beating the way it's supposed to. Keep him in your prayers that he will have a speedy recovery.

It took me a little convincing to get him to let me set this up for him. But I can't see my friend struggling while he'll be out of work for a great length of time. The bills will be rolling in. Your donation will help him focus on healing.

Rob will have to wear a special vest. The vest is a heart defibrillator, so when his heart does not beat properly, it will give him shocks to try to get back into normal rhythm.

Rob has already undergone many procedures to get his heart back in normal rhythm, but it hasn't been working, so the vest is a precaution for when he gets discharged.

Most of you probably know him from many years of working at Stewart's in Chestertown and a couple of other locations. Or you may know him from Helova Deli in Lake George.

I know times are hard for all of us now at this time of year, but if you could find it in your heart to donate to Rob's heart recovery, it would be greatly appreciated.
