I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my sister. She just got an eviction notice she has 3 days before she and her 3 children will be put out on the street. She’s only $1,141 short on rent, but after the month we’ve had, that feels impossible to come up with.

We just lost our mom and grandma last month 5 days apart from each other . Our family is still grieving, trying to hold it together, and this has completely broken us. My sister hasn’t been able to work since everything happened she’s been doing her best to care for her babies and hold it together through all the loss.

She’s applied for help everywhere, but with the government shutdown, no programs are coming through. I can see the fear in her eyes every day not for herself, but for her kids. They don’t deserve to lose their home, especially after losing so much already.
