.״לעלוי נשמת לוי יצחק בן ר׳ אברהם אלימלך״ An amazing man, husband, and most of all father, Levi Zahn dedicated his life to being עובד ה׳ . Although his life was cut short at the age of 50, my father lived a life full of love and care for others. His smile lit up so many people’s lives. Whether it was greeting a friend or just saying good shabbas to a stranger, my father undeniably embodied happiness. When anyone was having a bad day, they could always depend on my father’s warm smile and beautiful voice to cheer them up; His voice brought so much happiness to others. Sometimes his voice even brought tears to people’s eyes, when he sung under a chuppah or for the Amud on Shabbat. My father taught me and my siblings the power of כבוד אם, as he devoted so much of his time to caring for his mother, my grandmother. He cared for his mother and managed to be an amazing father even while doing so.
My father spent his days beautifying houses and shuls, being attentive to intricate details in order to ensure his client’s happiness. While decorating, my father would add his own unique flair to his work. My father taught us, his children, to treat everyone with utmost respect and above all, to always be a good, passionate, and devoted Jew. He also passed down to us his beautiful smile, that I hope to emulate and pass from my face to the faces of others.
Therefore, for his Yertzeit, I will not only be learning in his memory but also raising money לעלוי נשמת of my father, an amazing man. As you may know, Midreshet Moriah is having an Alex Clare concert in order to raise money for the family of Rabbi Reuben Beinmacher, who was in the Spanish program at Aish HaTorah when he was brutally stabbed and murdered by a terrorist right outside of שער יפו. In my father’s honor, I would like to contribute to this fundraiser by raising $2,000 for Rabbi Beinmacher’s wife and seven children that were left without a father. Anyone that knew Rabbi Beinmacher knew that he held such an ardent passion for learning Torah and connecting Jews to their Jewish heritage.
Please help me reach my goal, Tidku Lemitzvot!
May my father’s neshama have an eliya.
