Hello, my name is Tamara, I now reside in New Jersey but I'm originally from Jamaica. I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for help for my mother, who lives in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Her home was destroyed by Hurricane Melissa. The storm ripped off her roof, flooded her house, and ruined nearly everything she owns. She is now living in unsafe conditions, and it breaks my heart to know she’s facing this alone. My family is doing everything we can, but the damage is far more than we can manage without support.
How Your Support Will Help
Every donation will go directly toward:
- Emergency food, clean water, and essential supplies
- Safe temporary shelter while repairs are made
- Roof and window replacement, and essential building materials
- Basic furniture and household necessities
- Seeds, tools, and supplies so she can restart growing her crops—her main source of food.
Why This Means So Much
My mother is the gentle, steady heart of our family. She has always given generously, even when she had little herself. Seeing her lose everything has been heartbreaking, but with your help, she can start rebuilding her life with dignity and hope.
Thank you, truly, for any support you can offer. Your kindness prayers and generosity means a lot to us!
