Hi, I’m Allie.

I recently moved from the U.S. to New Zealand to be with the man I love. Due to his medical challenges, he isn’t able to move to the States, so I followed my heart here, but I had to make the hardest decision of my life: leaving my dog, Daisy, behind while I get my life sorted in New Zealand.

Daisy has been by my side since I was 21 years old. She’s my best friend, my emotional support, and my family. She has been with me through my rock bottom. Daisy is truly my heart dog, and not having her here has been incredibly challenging.

The intent has always been to bring Daisy to New Zealand, but I’ve found myself struggling to save the money needed to get her here. When I first arrived, I struggled to spread my roots. This caused me to dip into my savings.

This has now left me with having to make another incredibly difficult choice. Follow my heart and stay in New Zealand? Or fly home to the US and be with my soul animal.

I’m working two jobs, but flying a dog across the world is incredibly expensive. Between flights, vet requirements, customs, and quarantine, the cost is over $10,000. I’m doing everything I can to save, but I can’t do it alone.
