Support Lisa's Journey to Healing and Hope

Hello everyone,

My name is Lisa Goossen, and we as a family are reaching out to you today with hopeful hearts. At 50 years old, I have been blessed with a loving husband, Garth, and we have shared 26 beautiful years together, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. We have four daughters and one son, Kayla & Lyle Toews from New Plymouth, ID (and soon to be born Baby Toews), Joni Goossen from Livingston, CA, Heidi & Riley Koehn from Paxton, NE, Alex Goossen and Andre' Goossen, both at home with us in Greensburg, KS.

Our lives took an unexpected turn in 2018 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, I have undergone many surgeries and treatments, but we have faced it head-on with faith, strength, and the unwavering support of our family and friends.

In just less than a week, (Oct 6 -19) we will be flying to Santa Monica, CA, where I will be undergoing treatments for 2 weeks. The treatments include Cyber Knife (targeted radiation) and Hyperthermia. We are hopeful and trusting, along with the doctors, that this will be the final treatment needed to clean up the last remaining bit of cancer that is left. The cost really adds up with travel, car rental, lodging, and meals, along with Garth being off of work for 2 weeks.

We are reaching out to you in this time of need, with a humble request for financial assistance. Your generous contributions will help alleviate the strain of financial burden that comes with a cancer diagnosis.

We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support already received. Your encouragement lifts our spirits and strengthens us.
