UPDATE: Thanks to NYCSC Rescue, Tango got his surgery scheduled for 9/9. I promised the rescue I have 1000 on it and any extra for them and their hard work would go right to this. We love him so much and we are so grateful.

Hello, I am Nicole Montemurro, an Indy trapper in the Bronx.

It was late Thursday night; I drove to pick up my other kittens for my spots on Friday and went out to trap a pregnant mom I had been trying to get for a while. Instead of this mom, the sweetest, friendliest, emaciated boy followed me, and I knew I had to get him off the street.

When I went to pick him up at the ASPCA on Friday, they told me he turned blue and passed out after being confined and that I should get a chest X-ray. Well, Sunday morning, off we were to get a chest X-ray and found out that he has a diaphragmatic hernia. His small intestines are in his lungs. My amazing friend Jenna Lobasso offered to foster him and he truly is the most precious, grateful, sweetest boy EVER. He is doing amazing and has already made friends and brothers with the resident cat.

Today, Friday, one week from his fixing, she called me to say he is not right this morning. Breathing is very bad. I have been working all week, trying to network for him to get us some money to pay for this surgery. Times are really tough, and we want to trap to help stop the population of suffering, but then we end up with these bad problems and huge medical bills, and it's just so hard for us out here.
