Support Samantha's Brother's Recovery Journey

Hi everybody. My name is Samantha. My 19-year-old brother, who is my best friend and was also the one who stood by my side at my wedding, was in a severe motorcycle accident on July 29th at 11:56pm. He had been in the trauma hospital and needed emergency surgery to stabilize the broken bones in his foot. Unfortunately, he will need a few more surgeries and skin grafts but was cleared this afternoon to go home. There was no brain damage or internal organ damage so we are extremely lucky.

The bike was retrieved from the collision center and it turns out there was 80 feet of fishing wire and a bungee cord that had gotten wrapped around his back tire and caused the accident. He had the sense to push himself from the bike, otherwise he would have ended up pinned under the bike, which was pinned under the guard rail of the interstate. Had he not done that, I would have more than likely lost my baby brother that night.

On top of the multiple surgeries, he is going to need loads of physical therapy and follow-up appointments to make sure everything is healing appropriately. Funds are already tight for the whole family, so we are asking for just a little help in paying the immediate medical bills. Anything will help! We are just extremely thankful that he is alive and thankful for any help that we can get for him. It takes a village ❤️
