Hi everyone,
My name is Rebecca Mount and I am a current student at Wagner College in Staten Island New York. If all goes well, I will be finishing my final semester of college, and will gain a Bachelors of Science in Arts Administration. My ultimate goal in life at this point is to write and illustrate a children's book series. Unfortunately, last semester marked a lot of loss for my family and I. My father passed away rather suddenly, and left me reeling and at a huge financial loss. I have one semester left and might not be able to complete it because I owe the school $10,000 in order to register by the 18th.
I have never done anything like this before; I never ask for money and I try to get by on my own, but I'm asking for help from strangers, friends and family to help me get through the rest of this year and finish school so I can have the tools to achieve what was once my dad's dream of writing a children's book.
This is urgent-the semester starts in a little over a week and I have no other resources or options. I really can't thank those of you who will donate enough. I do hope you take my request under consideration, or even share this when you see it; every last cent helps. Thank you also to the people who encouraged me to be vulnerable and create this account. And of course, thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout my education.
