Help Casey get back on her feet!

Thank you SO much for the donations so far everyone!

Some good news - after some updates from the insurance company, we think the out of pocket costs will be lower than originally anticipated, and have been able to lower our goal donation amount.  Will update again when we get a final number from the insurance company. 

Still not sure if we will come even close to that but we will be here trying for Casey's sake :)

Friends and family!!

 

We are writing on behalf of Casey in the wake of her car accident to let you know that we’ve decided to start a GoFundMe to help with medical bills, and would be forever appreciative of any form of donation you’d be willing to give.

 

While we feel BEYOND lucky that she should eventually have a full physical recovery, the medical bills are now coming in, bringing financial stressors with them. The last thing we want for her once she’s recovered and ready to live life again is to be tied down by debt. Insurance is a beautiful thing, but between a lengthy hospital stay, multiple surgeries, and the coming months of physical therapy, the out of pocket costs are adding up. Additionally, she will require at least one more surgery in about 9 months to remove some of the hardware that was placed to stabilize her spine and pelvis.

 

Our goal is to lighten the financial load that is falling on her shoulders as much as we can, especially since she is currently unable to work, and it will be at minimum a few more months of physical therapy until she is able to move about without a wheelchair and walker, and get the cast off her arm, both which need to happen for her to get back to her job in the food industry.

 

We know the holidays are coming up and it can be a busy time for everyone both personally and financially, but even if you can spare a few dollars, it truly all adds up and can make a massive difference for an individual.

 

So lets help get Casey back on her feet! Yes, pun intended ;)
