My sweet puppy boy Timothy was involved in a dog fight on September 6th and spent 3 night at cheat lake animal hospital where they had to place a central line in his neck to be able to give him medications because his legs had too many injuries on them to be able to place a regular IV, they had to place an NG tube to be able to give him medications and a urinary catheter since they didn’t want him moving around. He was too unstable the first time at the animal hospital to address his wounds, however on Sunday September 7th they sedated him and had to place two drains in both his left and right front legs help with drainage and they sutured up what they were able. He was able to come home on Tuesday September 9th, however on the night of the 11th his sutures ripped open due to the location of his injury and it being such a high tension area so we had to go back to the animal hospital where they removed the drains and sutured the site back up as best as they could. We’ve been keeping him sedated however his site has once again opened back up after a vomiting episode earlier this morning September 14th and we had to go back to the animal hospital again but this time they weren’t able to suture the area back up this time and the area is still having a large amount of drainage and swelling and is infected so they did cultured the site and are going to send it off to see if we need to change antibiotics and they wrapped his right leg and we have to go back every three days to get dressing changes in hopes to clear up this infection however the Dr said that amputation of his leg isn’t off the table. With all that being said the cost of vet bills are only getting worse and over $5,000 right now so we would ask if anyone is able to donate to our sweet boy Timothy we would greatly appreciate it and if you aren’t able to donate if you could please share our post.
