I am a single mother of three small children, and on February 15th, we lost everything in a devastating fire. A day after we celebrated my youngest daughter's first birthday, at 7 am the following day; we woke up to the building being engulfed in smoke and flames. I grabbed my three young children and left the building with no shoes or coats. As we stood across the street, we watched our home and everything we had burn. The fire was so devastating that they immediately condemned the building, making us unable to go in and retrieve anything. My children and I have no home, no beds, no clothes, no toys.
