Last week, my dear friend Lisa Fowler became the victim of a cruel and calculated scam. Posing as representatives from her bank, scammers were able to convince her to transfer her entire savings — $7,000 — to them. In just moments, everything she had worked so hard to save was gone.

Lisa immediately contacted her bank, but despite the circumstances, they have stated they are unable to refund the stolen money. This has been not only a financial blow, but an emotional one as well.

Lisa is a kind, generous soul — always the first to help others and never one to ask for help herself. That’s why I’m starting this campaign: to rally our community and try to ease the heavy burden this scam has placed on her.
