Jason Jewell, 33 and a young husband and father, was diagnosed with Covid in August. The journey from there has been brutal. Unable to be admitted to the hospital in the beginning, he battled Covid at home. Once finally in the hospital, Jason was fighting to overcome Covid, pneumonia, sepsis, low oxygen and platelets, and a blood clot on his left optical nerve. He showed improvement and was released to go home to recover on September 4. Sadly, he lost eyesight in his left eye. Shortly after being released to go home, he suffered a stroke and returned to the hospital the following day. On Sept. 8 he was once again released to go home for recovery. He was readmitted to the hospital last night, September 10. Several blood clots have been found in is lungs, and he is currently sedated, paralyzed, and on a ventilator while doctors are desperately working to save his life. We only pray that this will be successful.

Jason’s wife, Kasey Jewell, has been in my life since she was a baby. Her life has never been without its struggles. Jason is the love of her life, and they have 4 young children. As you can imagine, the struggle for Kasey to manage family and household matters while simultaneously being there to support Jason has been incredibly difficult. Jason is the financial supporter of the family. As you can imagine, the bills, medical expenses, and struggle to support this young family throughout this horrible event is extensive.
