Hi, my name is Nicola, and 1 month ago I welcomed a sweet little girl, Kiara, into my life. When Kiara first came to me, I was told her unusual head shape was nothing to worry about. But at her recent vet check-up, I learned that her head shape—combined with a slight head tilt—could indicate fluid on the brain or in the skull. The only way to know for sure is through an MRI scan. Unfortunately, my insurance won’t cover the cost because it’s classed as a pre-existing condition. This news came as a huge shock, especially after being reassured that nothing was wrong.
