Rowan's Fundraiser

In December last year, Rowan was found sitting in a gutter, her eyes sealed shut from a severe infection arising from cat flu. Rowan's first course of treatment was antibiotics and regular cleaning of the eyes, with her condition to be reassessed once she has grown. Rowan has just seen the eye specialist and fortunately one of her eyes will be okay. However, the other eye will require complex surgery to remove the eye, which never developed properly due to the infection. The eye had ruptured causing damage internally which requires reconstruction to the eye socket. Without surgery, she will continue to suffer frequent serious infections, along with pain and discomfort.

Our goal is to raise $2000 to help us fund the surgery, consults and medications. As soon as the funds are raised, we can schedule the operation for Rowan. The removal and reconstruction surgery will cost $1620, the remaining amount will cover the other associated costs.
