Family & Friends,
I connected with a gentleman named Taylor McArthur through an online community to help contribute to a mission he's embarking on to build 10,000 homes for families across Latin America by 2035. For this year, the building projects occur once every quarter with the local Oaxaca community through their involvement with a non-profit, TECHO. I think this is incredibly cool, and I want to be involved. See the non-profit website below.
Here's a quick video below of the guy who is running it, and this is initially how I heard about it.
This would be a fun new place I've never been to before! It'd be tapping into my Mexican roots all the while helping other people, which puts a smile on my face! I'm reaching out to ask if you'd like to donate as little or as much as you'd like. $3000 is the amount I'm looking to raise because that is how much it costs to build one home. The trip will take place in the 3rd week of November! There's no pressure to donate, as I'll be contributing the remainder of what I don't raise. Thanks, and I'm looking forward to this! :)
From TECHO:
TECHO is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities throughout Latin America by building housing, supporting social development, and working alongside local families to break the cycle of poverty. Their work is community-centered, focusing on collaboration and long-term impact to create sustainable change.
Every dollar donated goes directly to the home-building project for a family. When you donate, 100% of your contribution reaches TECHO, and 100% of those funds will go straight to the family’s new home. Every penny you give translates to a safe place for a family to rest, grow, and dream.
