Bring Séamus to his Furever Home

Hi all! My name is Emily and I am currently stationed on a soon to be closed military base in Korea. I foster critters big and small during my tour here. One day on facebook I saw him. An Irish Wolfhound needing a place stay for 7 days. So I sent a message that changed my life.
24 hours later in a parking lot I was handed over a gentle giant. Séamus. It was clear no one had loved him the way he deserved. He had ear mites, his nails curled under, he smelled. I didnt care I knew he needed someone to speak on his behalf and be his advocate.

Here is his story: his true birthday is unknown as I have his paperwork and much of it appears fabricated with 3 different birthdays. I was originally told he was 2. Then 4, then possibly 6. I do not know where he was born or how he found his way to being used in a lab for animal testing. After being found to not be cooperative he was released or sold to man here in Korea. He was then sent to “training academy” for 1-3 years (real time unknown). During this time he was trained via basic english commands however he was not given proper food or health care. The report states he was disruptive and would howl. The man then sent him to live in dog cafe (like a cat cafe) as a circus side show. He was there for at least 1 year. The cafe owner made him leave because he didnt like loud strangers and would howl. From then he was passed from American service member to service member who fostered him and paid his expenses best they could (which is how I got him).
Upon seeing his condition I asked to adopt him so I could care for his issues properly.

$450 at the groomer later he was a new boy.
His teeth showed visible signs of infection and severe periodontal disease. He was having trouble eating and minor food would result in pools of blood coming from his mouth. I couldnt allow this, and took him to a canine dentist.  It was found due to anxiety over the years he had worn many teeth beyond salvage and had oral tumors.
$2500 later he can now eat without bleeding and pain.

I requested the legal owner if I could adopt him. After weeks of turmoil, uncovering half truth, I am finally the legal owner of Séamus. He has been able to experience great firsts! First toys, first bed, and real family. His first bed

Now its time to bring Séamus to Seattle. In Seattle he will live his best life with his big sisters Daizy (Great Dane) and Lizzy (GSD). Enjoying the cool pacific Northwest air, backyard, with fence, and holidays on the beaches of Oregon & Washington State.

I am trying to fly him to San Francisco because it cost prohibitive to fly to Seattle (quotes received between $12,000 - $21,000) So we will be flying to SFO then doing to 2 day drive to Seattle. Due to his size Mr. Séamus must have a custom made crate $1200, van for crate to Seoul airport $800, Airfare and fees for his travel $8000 plus health certifications and export documentation.

Any help is appreciated. I just want to help him live his best life for the last chapter. Thank you for taking the time to read his story. You can follow his journey on IG by searching the hashtag #seamusthekoreanirishwolfhound
