Cori, Cody & Emily's Fire Recovery!

On Friday, October 9th, 2015 in the Village of Mexico, NY - a fire destroyed the residence of my dear sweet friend Cory Hinman Durler and her children Cody & Emily Christnesen.

Luckily, no one was home at the time ... but that doesn't mean their lives weren't turned upside down and left completely unrecognizable.

EIGHT fire companies were called in to fight the blaze:  Mexico, New Haven, Hastings, Palermo, Scriba, Pulaski, Parish, and Central Square.  It took them an hour to stop the devastation, but it was too late!  What wasn't completely destroyed from fire, was ruined from smoke and water damage - clothing, coats, shoes, photos, all their precious memories, household items, furniture and the roof over their heads - was a total loss.

They also lost their beloved furry family members - a sweet new puppy, two frisky and adored cats, and their quirky fluffy bunny.

Although they will eventually need household items, etc., for the moment they have no place to store anything.  Their IMMEDIATE need is funds to secure a new place to live, clothing, coats, shoes and basic every day necessities till they can successfully relocate.

Till then, they can't even be together to love, comfort and support each other; and have all separated to different temporary living environments.

Let's come together as a community to help Cori, Emily & Cody get back on their feet and get back to the loving bonded family that they so badly need!
