Our family in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica was severely affected by Hurricane Melissa. Two of our family homes suffered major roof and wall damage, leaving them uninhabitable. The storm tore off large sections of the roofing and caused structural damage, allowing ongoing water leakage and making it unsafe for our loved ones to stay in the homes also leaving them with nothing to keep.

Growing up in Jamaica, we’re taught to be proud, to be strong, and to handle what life brings. Because of that, it took a lot for us to even consider asking for help. But with the damage caused by the hurricane and the repairs needed, we realized we had to reach out.

We are raising funds to reconstruct the roofs and repair the damaged areas so the houses can be made safe again. The cost of materials and repairs is much higher than expected.
