Help Will Replace His Equipment
Hey everyone,
My name is Will Harper and I am originally from Aiken, South Carolina. I graduated in May from Anderson University and I am currently working as a video intern this summer in Indianapolis. Recently my car was broken into and my camera bag was stolen. Some of the items inside that bag that I will need to replace are:
- 15” MacBook Pro
- Sony Alpha A6500
- Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens
- Sony FE 50mm f/1.8 Lens
- Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN C, E Mount Lens
- Hoya 67mm Variable Density Screw-in Filter
- WANDRD Duo Daypack
- TASCAM DR-10L Micro Recorder
- SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSD
- WD 5TB My Passport Portable External Hard Drive HDD
- 2 SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I Cards
- TOZO T6 Wireless Earbuds
- 7 Sony NP-FW50 batteries
- Apple 85W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter
In addition to the loss of these items and the broken window, truthfully the hardest part about this incident is losing everything I've ever created that was backed up on my hard drives. There are so many videos, files, and GB's of raw footage that I've collected since I started making videos two years ago. A lot of those videos have been shared online, but many projects (old and new) never saw the light of day. Furthermore, while some of my work is shared on social media and will still be visible there, the loss of all original, uncompressed files is hard to quantify.
Ultimately, I hope to get back to making art for people to enjoy as soon as possible - your support of what I create has always meant the most to me. Beyond giving financially, you can also support me by sharing my work with a potential employer, bride, or anyone in need of video content. Feel free to check out my website at www.willwharper.net or my Instagram @willywarper.
If you've been watching what I create for awhile now then you know how much I have poured into this creative journey over the last two years. Videography is my biggest passion and has gone from being an artistic outlet to a hopeful career path. This has been a hard loss tangibly and emotionally, so any contribution whether financially or through a word of encouragement is greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much for reading and sharing.
Best,
Will Harper
