What does it mean to be an Outrider?

It means to care for those who cannot care for themselves, to be a voice for the voiceless, a help to the helpless, to save lives. To guide those who have lost their way and to inspire others. It means blazing a trail and being a role model to our future Outriders, to protect the ones you love and to be part of a family.

For years we have been operating out of our home, a small team, one momma, one litter at a time, sacrificing ourselves day and night, traveling great distances, losing sleep, and enduring inevitable heartbreak to make sure that these dogs are safe.

However, being an Outrider means always trying to do more. So we are asking for your help. Outrider Dogs Rescue is buying a home. A home built and fueled by community to provide shelter to pregnant momma dogs in order for them to give birth in a warm, safe and loving environment. It will be a haven for her and her puppies for as long as they need. A home with the best food, care and opportunities a dog could ask for. It will be a place where all of us can come together and share in the miracle that is motherhood and be a part of something bigger than ourselves. We will call it “The Den”.

The Den will provide not only a home to these mommas, but it will provide a home for community, events, get togethers and moments for you to be involved first hand. No longer will we be doing everything alone because Outrider is more than that.
