Hello, my name is Jacob and we are trying to raise money for this sweet little 10 week old kitten that we have named Butter. Me and my fiancé found her while on a walk downtown the other day. She unfortunately has a rare condition where her upper eyelid either didn’t fully develop or she got attacked and lost some of it but it’s causing her hair to sit on her eyes scratching her cornea. In time this can cause ulcers and sore among other infections. One would think the solution would be as simple as trimming her hair every week but that’s not the case. She, unfortunately, will have to have surgery to correct this. During our vet visit with Butter the veterinarian gave us only 2 options which would be to either give her the surgery or to euthanize her because of how bad the pain on her eyes will be due to the ulcers and sores. With us being animal people there is no possible way we could euthanize her, so we are desperately asking for some help to pay for the surgery. The veterinarian quoted us around $3,000 for the surgery. She also said that we would have to travel to either shreveport or Baton Rouge being that this case is so rare, none of the veterinarians here have much experience dealing with one like this. Anything and everything will be very much appreciated. Please help us try to save Butter.
