"Breast Cancer" when you hear those words your heart drops, you can't move, time slows down, you get clammy and all you can think about is "What next"? As many of you don't know my mom has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
It was a shock to all of us when she was diagnosed In May 2015 she found a lump, it turns out to be stage II Breast Cancer, advanced into the lymph nodes. The oncologist recommends 8 rounds of Chemotherapy, Radiation and a Full Mastectomy. We are currently undergoing the Chemo.
My mom( who I am lucky enough to call my best friend) is a true hero and warrior. She has been a single parent for the last 15 years. Working 2 jobs.
She earned the nickname "Buffy" to match her phenomenal physique. A full-time prison Captain and police volunteer. She rises above the standard requirements for fitness,Never missing her 5-mile run at 4 am
She is the type of person who would do anything for you but would not ask or expect anything in return, she has done so much for so many. That is why I am asking, as her daughter, to help her in this fight and ease the financial pressure and stress of this burden.
Her best friend and I have created these bracelets, inscribed; “Buffy the cancer slayer.” Any donation made I will send you a bracelet in her honor. All contributions are greatly appreciated. This SURPRISE fundraiser will help with her medical costs, lift her spirits and build strength in her heart. THANK YOU!
