Fund for College

Hello! My name is Vuslat Algül. I am currently a freshman at Illinois Institute of Technology coming from a low-income background. I am a dual-degree student majoring in Biological and Psychological Sciences. My aspirations include working with children who suffer from cancer and/or other health conditions that prevent them from living a long and healthy life in hopes of extending their longevity. This year, I am dorming on campus since it is a requirement for students who do not live near the school. I have been working double shifts all summer, along with attending my college's mandatory summer program for incoming freshmen. Although I did get full tuition, my mother and I worked tirelessly to raise money to pay off my incoming dorm fees, but unfortunately, we do not have enough since most of our money went for our house bills. Due to the unforeseen circumstances of COVID-19, I have not been able to work since my mother recently became ill. I am hoping someone out there can help me raise money to pay off my dorm fees this year. I'm trying to raise at least 10,000 for me and my mom, for this year. Any contribution is a blessing.
