Help Robert Schellenbergs' family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Bernie and Robert was my brother.
I am setting up this go fund me account to help his family cover the funeral cost of this amazing father, husband, and brother. You can also donate at Wells Fargo under Robert schellenberg memorial fund.
He was working hard to support his family and provide them with a good quality of life; unfortunately his time was cut short.
This past Saturday he took his family to the Easter pageant at the Mesa AZ temple, after the pageant they were on their way home and he began to not feel good so they stopped for some soda and crackers then drove home. At about 1 AM he felt bad enough that he decided that they should go to the emergency room. (he wasn’t one to complain) His second oldest son Nick drove Robert and his wife to the emergency room. He was complaining of chest pain and said it was hard to breathe. They ran some test and found that his glucose level was high, REALLY high! So they gave him some stuff for that and brought down to about 380, which is still really high. The emergency room discharged him saying he was fine. Nick drove him home not even 25 minutes from leaving the hospital he passed out and became un responsive. Nick began performing CPR and they called 911. The ambulance took him to the hospital and they worked on him for an about an hour. He was pronounced dead this Sunday morning.
Nick, his second oldest son has taken the responsibility that he left. I was 16 when my father passed. I took on the responsibility that my father had left. I know it’s not easy and I made many mistakes on the way. I learned a lot and don’t want Nick to go through the same thing and make the same mistakes that I made. Robert had recently started a new job and was not eligible for health insurance or life insurance. He as gone as far as cashing in his 401K to be able to pay for the flight for Jordan and Kevin so that they may be able to attend the funeral and lay their father to rest.
All the money that is raised will go to pay for funeral cost and whatever is left will go to medical expenses and family.
It’s hard enough to deal with the passing of a loved one! Then come all the bills from the hospital and funeral home and everyone else.
Please help me in making this families life a little easier by taking care of the monetary side of things so they can focus on family and healing.
I know that by helping our fellow man we are making this world a better place, one person at a time.
