Support Dad's Recovery Journey
Donation protected
UPDATE: My dad is overwhelmed by the incredible kindness and generosity from you all. He thanks you for the supportive words and grateful for so many amazing people in his life. My family thanks you and hope you continue to share his story. Every donation is a weight lifted off his shoulders. We appreciate your continued support as we navigate his recovery in the months ahead.
As some of you know, my dad experienced multiple heart attacks on December 8th. This landed him at Dartmouth Medical Center and resulted in a CABG, a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft surgery (triple bypass). They had to take veins from his leg and put them in his heart. He has been out of work since that date, and will continue to be out until at least mid-March, if he is able to go back at all. Unfortunately, we know that he will not make a full recovery due to the damage to his heart. Short-term disability only lasts 6 weeks, and will end in about a week. It will not be extended, leaving him with no income at all.
My dad is a very private person. He always puts others first, never asking for anything for himself. I am coming to you, our friends and family, today to ask you for help on his behalf. It is very hard for me to put this out there, but my hope is that now his community will show up for him. Any donation you are able to give will go directly to living expenses as well as towards his $270,000 medical bill. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this link so that we can spread the word to as many people as possible. Although he doesn’t have social media, I would be happy to share any messages you’d like to send him. We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and willingness to help this wonderful man. Thank you so much for your consideration.
