Hi — we’re Leo’s parents Ceasar and Edwin. Leo is a joyful, 3-year-old French bulldog who’s been with us since he was 3 months old. Over the last few days Leo’s condition has gotten much worse: he’s been diagnosed with IVDD and a bulged disc that needs to be surgically removed. He is losing function in his back legs, and now also front legs, and is no longer able to eat, drink, or use the bathroom on his own.
Why this is urgent
The veterinarian has told us Leo must have the surgery this week. If he becomes completely paralyzed, the only humane option would be euthanasia. We refuse to give up on him without doing everything we can to save him — and that’s why we’re asking for help now. Leo’s a fighter and he’s not giving so neither are we.
About Leo
Leo is three years old and full of life — he loves fetch and runs around like his batteries never run out. He’s not just a pet; he’s family. Both of us are by his side 24/7 because he currently needs round-the-clock care.
How the funds will be used
We’re asking for $7,000 to cover the vet’s estimated costs for urgent spinal surgery and related care. This includes:
• The surgical procedure to remove the bulged disc and relieve spinal pressure
• Hospitalization and monitoring before and after surgery
• Medications (pain management, antibiotics)
• Post-op care and immediate physical therapy needs
If there’s any amount raised beyond medical costs, we will use it to cover ongoing rehab and follow-up vet visits. We’ll post receipts/updates so everyone can see exactly how funds are spent.
Why we need your help
We don’t have the full amount available immediately, and time is critical. Even a small donation helps — and sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, or local pet groups could save Leo’s life.
Thank you
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for reading, donating, and sharing. Please follow updates here so you can see Leo’s recovery and how your support made a difference.
