Next year, I’ll be taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon to raise money for the Stroke Association — a cause that is deeply personal to me and my family. Sadly, we lost my dad to a stroke late last year, and I want to honour his memory by supporting the vital work this charity does.
Every five minutes, someone in the UK has a stroke. It’s one of the leading causes of death and adult disability, changing lives in an instant. Despite this, much of the Stroke Association’s crucial work — from funding life-changing research to providing support for stroke survivors and their families — relies heavily on donations. Without the generosity of people like you, many wouldn’t receive the help they so urgently need.
By sponsoring me, you’ll not only be supporting me in completing 26.2 miles, but more importantly, you’ll be making a real difference to the lives of those affected by stroke across the UK.
If you can, please consider donating whatever you’re able. Together, we can help give stroke survivors the best chance at recovery, and ensure fewer families go through what mine has.
The pain of running a marathon is nothing compared to what my dad endured, and I will carry his spirit and determination with me every step of the way.
Thank you
