Medical fight fund For Trevor Gilbert and Fam

Donation protected
THIS CAMPAIGN IS no longer ACTIVE as of Sept 30,2020. Please use the other campaign Trevor’s Brain Cancer Fight X3 . Cancer sucks! No child should have to fight once- never twice! This past February my nephew Trevor attended a routine MRI followup to monitor progress on his brain since his last 2 year battle with Brain Cancer. At this same time his mom Kim, was awaiting results of her biopsy. Unfortunately this time the doctors didn't just come in to share the good NED news (No Evidence of Disease) with Trevor and Kim, this time...they broke the news that a new brain tumor had surfaced near his Pituitary Gland and this means the fight will now start all over again. This is devastating news to a boy who started his Senior year of high school with all the hope and excitement a kid could imagine...dreams of college...hanging with friends...first job...time with family.  To say this blindsided this family is an understatement.
I am Trevor's Aunt Korrie, and twin sister of Kimberly Herbert. I managed the last Go Fund Me which helped Kim and Randy keep the lights on, the house warm (or cool here now that they live in Florida), the twins needs met, and the mounting medical bills paid. I can't stress enough how much a cancer diagnosis hits a family hard once, but now... they are being hit twice.
Additionally, if surgery becomes an option, Trevor want his St. Louis neurosurgery team to do this surgery because they are familiar with he and his brain. We will need to move rapidly to make this happen - if it is indeed an option. This means that while Randy is working day in and day out, Kim will need to miss work. She just started a new job this past week amongst all this other chaos and does not have any PTO banked or ability to enact FMLA.
As if things could not get worse, Kim needs to have her egg-sized mass removed from her chest for additional testing and pathology. This will again put her out of work and the family at a hardship.
Their situation is immediacy dire. They were saving for a home and have had to exhaust their savings to pay Kim's medical co-pays these past few weeks (ER visits, diagnostic tests and Biopsy) and this has taxed the family.
We need everyone's help collectively - yes for funding and prayer. If you can spare anything at this time to help fulfill Trevors wishes to graduate High School and walk through his ceremony, to be able to go to Prom, to have as many positive life experiences before he is so sick again, that would be so unbelievably greatly appreciated. All funds will go directly to the family to help in any way needed. Anything over and above will go towards Trevor’s dream of attending college.
Trevor had an amazing support team in St. Louis/Farmington when he fought this fight before. They've lived here not quite 2 years and while they are surrounded by family, his support system before also meant the world to him to keep him going and we want to build that here as well.
In additional to funds needed, prayer, cards, gift cards for gas and groceries (Publix, Winn-Dixie, Aldi) etc are also very welcomed to keep spirits up and lessen worry. Their address is 2906 Decidely Street, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 - and nearby restaurants include all major chains, chic-fil-a, etc.
Everything began 3/4/19 - MRI, Spinal Taps, more bloodwork, action plans etc....We need help now. Please share with everyone!
Thank you!
