Help Holly Give Her Mom a Fresh Start

Hi, my name is Holly and I'm fundraising to be able to purchase a prefab or modular home for my disabled mother. My mom was hit by a log that fell off the back of an 18-wheeler on the highway while she was driving many years ago. We didn't have much but my parents always put food on the table and my dad was able to really take care of us. Then, in 2019 at the age of 26 my brother had passed away in his sleep at my parents house where my mother discovered his body, it was completely unexpected and aa very tragic accident. One month later on April 9th 2019 we took my dad out for his 49th birthday, we finally started to feel like a family again. My brother had two daughters and a son, and we all went swimming and surrounded my father with love. Things were finally starting to feel good again until the next morning. We all slept over at my parents place and me and my sister in law got the kids ready for school and I was off to work. That morning my mother called and told me I needed to come home, I told her that I knew it was hard but I had to try and get back to regular life. That's when my mom said "It's about your father" and hung up. I raced home to find the paramedics giving up on trying to get my dads heart back into rhythm. My father passed that morning and my mother and I were left without either of the strong men in our lives to help get us through this. Financially we were strained. My mother did everything she could to support us but mentally she had some very serious challenges- as did I. Now I'm at a point in my life where I am financially stable but not enough to be able to fully care for my mother. She is able to take care of herself for the most part (do dishes, cook, etc.) and she is still SO young with so much life ahead of her. She's finally at a point of mental clarity and really wants to achieve independence but she will never be able to work again. We are asking for you to help give a woman her life back. Every dollar counts. The money will go directly into a TFSA until we get enough to buy land, the prefab home, and all the necessities needed to get her a place she can call her own. In this trying world, please help me find my mother some peace after everything she has gone through.
