Heart Surgery for Mom
Donation protected
My mother, Rosalinda Turcios, 57, is a wonderful person who has always devoted her time and love to her family.
Mom started feeling sick about three months ago. She had problems breathing and was rushed to the ER. The doctor examined her, did some x-rays, and suggested she see a cardiologist for a follow up.
We made an appointment for her to see a cardiologist here in Houston. Of course, mom refused because she didn’t want us to spend money on her. After setting her appointment the doctor recommended an echocardiogram which was performed today at Memorial Hermann.
The results are devastating and unbearable to hear as the doctor explained she is in critical condition and needs an aortic valve replacement immediately. I’ve attached the echocardiogram results. Her doctor was shocked to see her standing in his office rather than being in a hospital bed. He said she urgently NEEDS heart surgery. The procedure will cost between $40k and $50k.
I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. I feel hopeless and as if there isn’t much we can do because we don’t have this money. Friends and colleagues suggested I start a Go Fund Me account. I’ve never done one in my life nor did I envision ever having to do one. But this is for my mom, and I would do anything for her.
We are in need of funds for her surgery. She has no healthcare insurance.... any donations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. God bless you.
