Hi, my name is Alissa and i’m trying to help my grandparents save their dog, Sarge. Sarge is a 3 year old Labradoodle and is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. Recently he got out of my grandparents yard and went swimming in a pond behind there house and it had Blue Algae in it. If you don’t know Blue Algae is a Bacteria that is dogs ingest or just simply swim in, it causes liver damage or neurological damage. Since Sarge had gotten out my grandpa noticed his health declining and immediately took him to the vet where they diagnosed him with Blue Algae, his liver is failing. His enzymes were in the thousands and they're supposed to be in the low hundreds. My grandparents aren’t the ones to ask for money but they’re the ones that would give you their shirt off there back and they would give you their last penny if you needed it. But Sarge is my grandpas baby and it would be so heartbreaking to see him loose his boy. My grandpa took Sarge to a specialist today (9/2) and they’re keeping him for a week. The vet told my grandpa that treatment is going to be super expensive and that’s all we know as of now.
