Recovering from Devastating House Fire

This fundraiser has been set up by the Burgess family kids to help their family after the loss of their parents house.

 

Hello, everyone. This past Friday, April the 8th, my father and stepmother tragically lost their home in a devastating house fire. Neither my father nor stepmother were home at the time, so they are safe and sound, but they did lose their two beloved pets; Bella and Lance.

The house itself is a total loss. We are currently unable to step foot into the wreckage, but from the looks of things, nothing survived. For the time being, the only possessions my parents have left are the clothes on their backs and the few things they had on their persons. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but it is believed that bad wiring or a faulty heater are to blame. The wonderful community in which they live has done a fantastic job thus far of helping with small donations, but as one knows; to lose a home is to lose an entire life. As is, both of my parents were working day in and day out to help make ends meet to pay their mortgage, bills, and the costs of their medications.

We have set a "goal" of $30,000 for cleanup and restoration. Any little bit helps. We would be grateful for any kind of donation, whether it be monetary, a meal, a phone call, or even just your prayers.
