Help me record my music!

Hi all, my name is Emily Lee and I'm a singer and songwriter in London, United Kingdom.

I've started this GoFundMe because after months of trying to save my iMac for recording music, it has finally died on me.

Since the lockdown began it occurred to me that financially things would be difficult for a very long time during and after, so I began the process of buying recording equipment to start recording and mixing my music. I began by buying a third-hand iMac, and interface. I began with Garageband (because it was free) and began to make demos. Despite some terrible living conditions I slowly worked as many jobs as I could to buy a decent recording mic and Logic Pro and began to work on music production in 2021.

In 2022, my iMac began to crash in logic and refused to allow me to mix and record. The hard drive was replaced but due to its age, it still didn't improve the problem at all. I need a powerful Mac to proceed with my music.

Those that know me, know I pride myself on being able to solve any problems myself first. If I'm able to physically do a task, I will do it. It's why I'm the songwriter I am today.

But now I'm stuck. I have waited three years to record my music with ease. I'm finally in a good home with good people. All I want is to record and I don't want to wait any longer. With your help I will have a whole album recorded, mixed, mastered and ready to release THIS YEAR! The demos are done, and the stories are ready to tell. I just want the chance to make it happen and not have to wait another year of working every job I can, thus slowing my progress right down.
