In Memory my Beloved Mother Candi

My mother ( Candida "Candi") went into the hospital on February 17, 2025, and her heart was not strong enough to allow her body to recover from the stress. We almost lost her on the 21st, but she was brought back after 8 minutes of CPR. I flew back home to Long Beach California on my birthday in hopes she would pull through. She was transferred to another hospital at the request of the cardiologist who believed if she could be stable, he could operate and fix her failing valves. She previously had heart surgery in 2010, but the valve that was repaired began to fail again, which started to cause other issues with her liver and kidney function due to poor circulation.

On February 26th, she was awake briefly and was able to recognize me, and I was able to hold her hand until the very end until her heart was unable to keep going. The morning of February 28th, the hospital called to let us know she was no longer improving and was radically declining. Shortly after arriving, she died of heart failure. She leaves behind my dad, her husband of 44 years, and 3 sons (including myself). My mother services are going to be held in Long Beach California, where I grew up and where her beach is located that she loved.

This was not expected, and she was getting better with improved medication for her heart. I thought I had more time, and we were not expecting to lose her so young. She was 65 years old, and my mother comes from women who live well into their 80s.

update. Finalized the cost of the arrangements. I lowered the goal just have enough to cover her cost.
