Hi my name is Kristelle Amos, I am an Aunty to Tyron Wingfield JNR and I appreciate you taking a moment to read this story.
I have set this up to support my first cousin Tyron Wingfield SNR and his partner Katterina Bilney of this time of struggle and financial hardship.

On the 24th of July 2024, Tyron and Katterina was blessed with the birth of a baby boy Tyron Wingfield JNR who is known as Ty Ty.
Adding Ty Ty to now a family of five, including two sisters Marridia and Miliyah.

This family is situated in Yalata Aṉangu Community which is 1000km west of Adelaide SA. Where Tyron being the only bread winner for this family working as a minicipal service officer at Yalata Aṉangu Community Corporation.

During Katterina’s Prenatal screening and testing she was informed that she was unable to give birth in Ceduna. Due to multiple appointments in Ceduna Adelaide and Port Augusta. This family had to relocate to Port Augusta until the birth of baby Tyron Jnr being a month prior to delivery, His employer was able to support him for a short period of time. After Ty Ty’s birth he was in and out of hospital for 3 months.

Which resulted in Tyron taking unpaid leave for 4 months while being in Port Augusta.

After 4-6 months of being in Port Augusta for baby Ty Ty, they were given the all clear to return home to Yalata Community. Tyron than returned back to work on the 4th February 2025 with one week of work accumulated.

In the time spent in Port Augusta Katterina would ensure Ty Ty was seen by midwives, paediatricians and GP’s however she could not deter the ongoing gut feeling that something was just not right with Ty Ty.

Amazingly enough Katterina received a phone call while being out at Yalata to see the Paediatrician at the local Aṉangu Aboriginal Tullawon Health Service. The Paediatrician took one look at Ty Ty and advised Tyron and Katterina that their son was required to seek urgent medical examination as soon as possible. The Paediatrician assured Katterina that she was right with her gut feeling, in what she was feeling is something to be concerned about which is not normal but there is medical procedures that can help to reshape his head to grow normal.

Which meant that they had to leave work and travel again another 700km away from home to Port Augusta SA on the 11th February 2025 with the support of Tullawon Health Service and Yalata Aṉangu Aboriginal Community Corporation.

From the finding of the examination on the 12th of February 2025 baby Ty Ty has been diagnosed with Craniosynostosis which is a birth defect that occurs when the fibrous joints in a baby’s skull, called sutures, close too early and turn into bone. This prevents the skull from growing normally.
Baby Ty Ty will need a surgical procedure to his head in March 2025 - date still to be announced.
The family has been informed that Ty Ty will be in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital for a week post surgery, and will need to stay in Adelaide for 1-2 months once discharged from hospital.
Which means Tyron will need to leave his job again for 1-2 months and will be unable to support his family financially for accomodation, food, fuel and living while in Adelaide.

We as a family would appreciate any contributions that will help assist Baby Ty Ty’s financial commitments during this difficult period and support the immediate family to stay in Adelaide.

If you are unable to donate at this time please take the time to share and to keep there family in Prayer - God Bless.
