When they say that a mother would do anything to not have to see their child in pain, it is true. However, this always has its limitations. Coming up with extra money is one of them…
I have an amazing son who loves his life. He is talented, kind and loving but he is trapped by his body. The limitations his body puts on him are so incredibly debilitating, that he hardly wants to leave the house. My once vibrant outgoing son, is now a quite young man living in pain.
Here is his story:
Within the last five yeah he has developed a condition of the skin which gives him a constant burning sensation in certain areas. Some days it gets so bad, he has to stay home from school because he’s in so much pain. It’s hard enough being a teenager and having to deal with this unending pain is preventing him for living his life to the fullest, as any child should have the chance to do.
Of course there is a treatment to help save him for this pain, and of course our insurance will NOT cover the costs. The procedure is an estimated $3000.00 and that is just something that I cannot come up with on my own. But by having this done, it will take away the burning sensation that he has to live with. I’ve begged the insurance company to help us in this matter and there is nothing that they are able to do for us.
I just can’t continue to see my child hurting. I am begging for your financial support to help us get him the procedure that he is so desperately in need of. He needs to have a chance at life, and I am going to try to best to be able to give that to him, but I can’t do it on my own.
We have been dealing with this burden for four very long years and I don’t want to have to go another day seeing him this uncomfortable and in this much pain. He is struggling with this every day and I am struggling as a parent to see him go through this without being able make it go away. But we can take the pain away with your help.
