My name is Brian Goodwin. I'm trying to save my home from being seized due to tax debts. In 2014 I was disabled due to a work injury and had surgery in 2015, which I was never able to recover from fully. In 2016 I needed to have abdominal surgery, which left me in the hospital for over six months leading into 2017. In 2018 I bought a small condo for my sons and me. In January 2020, I was again hospitalized and needed more abdominal surgery. The following month is when Covid-19 hit, and shutdowns started to happen. Because of Covid-19 and my disability, I could not work, and that's when I began to fall behind financially. My youngest son is working hard to help, but it's just too much for him to pay for before the deadline. I'm asking for funds to pay off the tax lien and catch up on HOA dues. Any amount would be appreciated to help us get back on our feet and not lose our home.
