I am setting up a gofundme on behalf of my best friend Cameron Martel and his family Brittany, Amelia and Baby Emma.

3 week old Emma was just admitted to Mid-Hudson Hospital last Friday due to showing signs of an illness that was progressively worsening by the hour. Emma then was immediately transported to Westchester Medical Center where she still remains just turning 1 month old. I am asking for help from our community as this is a family in need. No parent should have to do this alone. During her stay at Westchester Medical Emma has been diagnosed with Strep Meningitis and suffering from extremely low sodium levels. The doctors were able to regulate her levels putting the main focus on treating her infection. Brittany is able to stay by Emma’s side, but Cameron can not due to having to work. He has to commute to visit and look after Emma’s big sister Amelia. Today Cameron and Brittany called to let me know updates, Emma is presenting blood clots in her brain that may need further treatments. Please keep this family in your prayers. She will undergo a procedure tomorrow to place a permanent pic line in. They will meet with more doctors to discuss their nexts steps towards finding the best treatment plan for Emma’s recovery.
