Reading Interfaith Group

The Reading Interfaith Group (RIFG) was founded in 1985 to build connections and dialogue across religious and faith differences. In the multi-cultural and multi-ethnic hub that Reading has become, the RIFG seeks to promote mutual tolerance and friendship across different faiths, religions, and spiritual traditions, thereby affirming that diversity is a strength. In this way the RIFG works towards healing and peace.

Reading Interfaith Group is a non-profit-making, unincorporated community association funded entirely through voluntary donations.

Over the years we have provided opportunities for friendship, dialogue and education involving all faith backgrounds and beliefs through activities such as: regular Interfaith meetings, annual Community Picnics and visits to different places of worship.

The £750 we are hoping to raise will enable us to cover our running costs such as: insurance, maintaining the website and producing a monthly newsletter. Any surplus will be used to improve publicity and the quality of our events.
