Church Family

This is Todd and Kim Church, my parents. Anyone who knows them, knows that my mom, Kim,  is not well. She has rheumatoid arthritis and literally has no immune system from all the biologics that she has been on. My dad has literally used all of his sick/leave from work.
”Most of you know Kim’s health over the past 7-8 yrs. She’s been hospitalized approximately 39times. And I wouldn’t trade her for anything. During that time I’ve made every effort to be with her and take care of her physically, emotionally, etc. So, what vacation/sick time I’ve had has all but a few days been used. The day before thanksgiving, I felt something pop in my shoulder, since I’ve not been able to lift it, reach across my body, etc, not to mention the pain. I went to the ER on Thanksgiving, was given X-rays, put in a sling, and went to orthopedic on Monday. He scheduled and MRI yesterday, and today I got the news. My Labrum (ligaments) is torn away from the shoulder joint, and there are cysts on the bone. The ligaments have to be stitch back to the bone, and cysts shaved down. It’s a 3-4 month ordeal, and dr said it won’t heal on its own, surgery is the only option. For really the first time in my life, I’m helpless. I only have my faith, I’ll have no income, because it didn’t go out on me at work, dr said he can’t say it’s work related. The embarrassing part, is contrary to what people may think, I live paycheck to paycheck. And now, I don’t even know how I’ll put food on the table after the next 2 wks. For the first real time in my life, I’m literally helpless.”

These are my dads words from his Facebook. They are in need of all the help they could get. My dad is not one to ask for help so he wouldn’t do this for himself.
