Help for Chris
Donation protected
On February 28th, 2019 our world was changed forever. We quickly learned in a trip to the ER for headaches that Chris had a plum-sized brain tumor on the left side of his brain. We were rushed to Mission Hospital in Asheville NC that day to start an intensive 5 day course of steroids to bring the swelling down enough to have a craniotomy. His surgery was performed 3/5/19 and they were successful in removing most of the tumor, but we soon found out that what was removed was a Grade 4 Glioblastoma, a nasty, incurable brain cancer.
We are now in the 3rd week of his radiation treatments and unfortunately things are piling up quickly. We have applied for all possible assistance we can, but each organization has lengthy application processes and nothing is happening quick enough to help the immediate situation.
We have been blessed enough to stay close to the hospital during the week, but this too will soon become an expense I cannot carry. Chris will not work again after this diagnosis, and my hours have been severely reduced so that I am able to help him every day.
Any funds that are donated will go to his medical and prescription costs, as well as maintaining transportation to and from his treatments and various appointments, and the cost of housing for the last 2 & 1/2 weeks of radiation.
Sadly, we have to ask for donations quickly, any resources that we had have now been depleted to be able to accomplish these first weeks of treatment for Chris.
Thank you all for your love, prayers and support. We are forever appreciative of all you!
