My name is Kelly Russell. On behalf of the Russell family in Green Bay, Wisconsin, we are asking for assistance for our loved ones in Jamaica that have lost everything are without basic necessities.
Help Rebuild Lives After Hurricane Melissa
Our family in Westmoreland, Jamaica, has lost everything.
When Hurricane Melissa—a catastrophic Category 5 storm, one of the strongest ever to strike Jamaica—tore through the island, it shattered homes, livelihoods, and hope.
From our family alone, at least seven homes have been completely destroyed, leaving children, parents, and elderly relatives homeless—with nowhere to go and nothing left but the clothes they escaped in. Roofs were ripped away, communities flooded, and entire villages left in ruins.
From here in Green Bay, Wisconsin, we’re doing everything we can to help them rebuild.
Right now, the most urgent need is for basic food items, clean water, hygiene products, and clothing—the essentials for survival in the aftermath of total loss.
Our goal is to send care packages and raise funds to cover the cost of shipping barrels of supplies to Jamaica. It’s an expensive process, but one that means hope and relief for those who have lost it all.
Donations will help purchase:
food
clothing
hygiene products
cleaning supplies
first aid kits
This effort goes beyond our family—everything collected will be shared with the wider community in Westmoreland. So many have lost their homes, jobs, and possessions. People’s lives and livelihoods have been shattered, yet their resilience and faith remain unbroken.
Every dollar, every donation, every share counts.
Please stand with us. Help bring food, water, comfort, and hope back to Westmoreland.
With heartfelt thanks,
The Russell Family (Green Bay, WI)
